Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room had a wonderful view overlooking the tidal-fed lake but was a bit cold and the air con/heating system was tricky to figure out. Despite a delay in room readiness, the morning sun shining across the lake made waking up quite lovely. The service was friendly and helpful, although it seems there are industry-related issues. The location was the main draw for choosing Lakeside, though the presence of chewing gum on the floor was off-putting. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some hiccups and fruit juice shortages, but the poached eggs were excellent. Facilities were good overall, but there were areas needing improvement.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and immaculate with lovely extra touches like top-quality toiletries and comfy beds. The service was exceptional, especially from Margaret and Lily in the restaurant and bar. The location was stunning, very close to the ferry docks. However, the dining experience was a bit underwhelming with limited options.
I had a lovely and warm stay at the hotel, although our room overlooked the Carpark instead of the promised lake or countryside view. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spacious with a huge bed, two sofas, a desk, and a six-seater dining table and chairs.
